A 28 year old paralyzed man can now feel with his hands with the help of Prosthetic Hand. Under which electrodes has been directly induced into his brains that connects his Electronic arm. This research was done by DARPA. Accordingly this man can now feel and control his new hand and also other sensations due to two sets of electrodes, one array on the motor cortex that would help the brain in directing body movement and the other sensory cortex that would allow to feel the touch.
This Prosthetic hand was developed by Applied Physics Laboratory at John Hopkins University, that detects pressure applied on the fingers, and further transmit the electrical signals to the brain.
Under the test that person was asked to blindfold himself and respond on the touch, he made it to 100% accuracy.
