More and more of the pregnant women are opting for caesarian birth technique that is also known as C section. This is because of many reasons , where it has been founded that many of then go under the knife just to get rid of that labour pain. As compared to the vaginal birth C section carries more risk for the mother as well as the baby. Even as per the WHOs report it has been said that C section should not be performed until and unless it meets the medical necessity.
Risks for the mother :
Infection: Inspite of all the antiseptics used 8 percent of the women who go for c section has infections after the operation in the lining of the uterus and tract. Pain: Pain persists in the wound and belly for few weeks. Blood clot: Blood clotting risks increases when C section is performed . Anaesthetic: Adverse reactions to these items can range from very mild like headache to severe like death from anaphylactic shock
For the babyBreathing problems:These babies born with C section techniques have larger percentage risk of having breathing problems and asthma in childhood .
