Review : Akshay Kumar (David ) and Siddharth Malhotra (Monty) are two estranged brothers begotten by Jackie Shroff ( Gary Fernandes). He is a prize-fighter who has David from his marriage with Shefali Shah (Maria) while Monty is born out of an extra marital affair.
Monty’s mother passing on, the boy has nowhere to go. After turmoil, Maria accepts him into their home. David becomes Monty’s protective big brother – but relationships shatter when Gary’s drinking causes a tragic accident. The brothers bitterly split – only to face each other in a prize-fight years later.
The strongest performance has been that of Akshay Kumar, which is serious and severely intense, while other performances remained weaker.
The critics and and viewers gave the movie an average rating with the general opinion being that the movie could’ve dealt with themes in a deeper way rather than merely sweeping across its surface.
