Facebook has said no to the “Dislike” button and has announced that they are testing on the 6 Reactions. The testing is been done in Ireland and Spain to test the reactions starting on Friday. Facebook has clarify that it is going to provide extensions of like button that will allow users to make more easy reactions of how they exactly feel about the post. Users have been wanting the dislike button from years as there were some posts that did not required a like button or a comment.
Mark Zukerberg CEO and Managing Director of Facebook said ” not every moment can be stated as Good moment thus we need some more expressions to provide our reactions or empathy.” There are some stuff that need more than share to express the power of the post. This trial will be providing the users of Ireland and Spain six more emotions to express along with the like button. The options are to express “love”, “yay”, “wow”, “angry”,”sad” and “haha”, each expression will be accompanied with a themed emoji. These new reactions will allow the users to connect more to the content and stories. A dislike button could not express these emotions. This could create a algorithm that will provide you with more such videos if you said haha for a cat video.
