Although E commerce sites have been greatly appreciated for their work in selling accessories, groceries, apparels but on selling liquor is prohibited and not taken as a good remark. This might put you in jail if you are found selling or buying liquor online through the sites as per the recent laws of Delhi government.
The excise department of the government has came across many sites that have been offering selling of liquor and has caught a person in Haryana doing the same in cheaper rates, the staff has been directed to keep a strong and tight vigilance over the same and to take further strict actions against the culprits. Four Five online sites have been noted down and has been listed to Cyber Cell of Delhi Police to arrest the owners.
According to the department selling liquors and buying them may not be safe as they may be artificial products with labels oven them. Under the section 33 selling and buying is a punishable offense and the person may be imprisoned for three years or fined for Rs. 1 Lakh. Delhi Police has been very active in the last six months for the same and has found during the investigation that many shopkeepers, drivers, carpenters, government employees, students and doctors have been owing the vehicles where a number of unauthorized liquor was kept to put on sale.
