Biology and electronics together have done many things in the past, but now scientists have found a way to implant the structure of DNA in computers by using copper salts and EDTA( Ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid) which is commonly found in soaps and detergents. it is primarily based on nanotechnology , as it was earlier believed that the structure of DNA could be changed and folded up which is known as “i-motif” using acids, but new research has proven that they can be turned into a hair-pin structure using positively-charged copper (copper cations). This change can also be reversed using EDTA.
Now rather than silicon nanotechnology will provide new horizons for chip system. And University of East Angelia believes DNA would one day help in building computers.
