Google has announced at its Nexus event on Tuesday that Android 6.0 Marshmallow will be going Over The Air (OTA) from next week. This OS update will be first hitting the nexus Smartphones, tablets and other devices. They have also provided report on global Android Usage done .
Dave Burke is the Vice President of Engineering in Android has stated that the Marshmallow will be positively acquiring its existence over Nexus 5, Nexus 6, Nexus 7(2013), Nexus 9, and Android One devices. This clearly means that the update is not for Nexus 4, Nexus7 (2012) and Nexus 10. This OTA update can probably take a week or a moth to reach all the nexus devices. Marshmallow was introduced by Google in May 2015 during the Google I/O conference. Some of the latest features added to it since then include, Google Now on tap feature, App permission, Chrome enhanced web features, whole new ways to tackle web links, new integrated payment oprion, New API for fingerprints, and a battery saver taht will be inbuilt to provide management of power called DOZE. It will be supporting USB Type C ports , other adoptable storage devices, and auto backup and restore system for the users.
Sundar Pichai Google’s new CEO has stated that they have around 1.4 billion user active every month which a huge bump. Last year it has 1 million active users.
