“Aligarh” Directed by Hansal Mehta has received a grand applause and standing ovation in the 20th Busan Film Fest on 4th October.
This movie plot is set in a town of Uttar Pradesh from where the name has been taken as Aligarh. This was when 20th Internation Busan Film Fest took place on 4 October. Here it is the story of a professor (Manoj Bajpayee). Manoj Bajpayee’s movie Aligarh has received a standing Ovation for the story and the plot. Director too found it really appealing and overwhelming by the response received. He acknowledged the the story that is based on homosexuality has totally moved the audience said on twitter on expressing his excitement. This is a story of a professor who is forced to leave his job on grounds of homosexuality and there is a young journalist who tells this story to the world. Journalist is played by Rajkumar Rao.
This film is screened in an ongoing film fest in South Korea, where this fest is of 10 days. Aligarh is movie that questions the world on the Indian Society regarding its prototype over homosexuality and their behavior over the subject. This movie is to set an example over the traditional orthodox followed. This is also stated to be shown in 59th BFI London Film Festival after this month.
