If the young and adults include eating moderate amount of almonds daily they can enrich their diets. Almonds being a good source of plant protein has many essential fatty acids , Vitamin E and magnesium init thus according to Alyssa Burns who is from the University of Florida in the Us has suggested this in the study. This has been a 14 days week study according to which almonds were given daily to 29 pairs of the Parents and the Children. most of the mothers were with the average age of 35 and the children were between three to six years of age.
The children were encouraged and tried to eat almonds 14 grams of the almond butter daily and then parents were also given 14 grams almond daily. The study revealed that the improved dietary intake of the participants has scored them a healthy eating index (HEI).
For all components, a higher score indicates higher diet quality. When parents and children ate almonds, their HEI score increased from 53.7 to 61.4.
